The Heinkel He 111 was a German bomber aircraft used in WWII. This Z, “Zwilling”, configuration was a mating of two He 111 airframes together and included an added engine for a total of 5. The result was an airframe designed to tow Germany’s M321 glider, carry additional armament such as an increased number of anti-ship missiles and onboard machine guns, and added fuel capacity.
