Ka-29 “Snail-B” is a shipborne transport/attack helicopter designed by the former Soviet Union. The project started in 1973 and is a derivative model developed on the basis of Ka-27. The first flight took place on July 28, 1976, and the national test and test work was completed in May 1979. It was put into mass production in 1984. Three years later, the NATO reconnaissance aircraft first discovered that the aircraft appeared on the Soviet landing ship “Ivan Rogoff”.
